Subject: LBT Enterprises Concrete Pile
Cutters
Allied
Machinery Corporation currently has four (4) Prime®
Concrete Pile Cutters in our rental fleet.
On a
recent pier project, the Contractor who was awarded the job
received bids from Subcontractors to cut and remove 486 16"
Raymond Pile. The Raymond Pile, originally installed in the
early 1940's, has a 3/8" thick shell with 1" rebar and
concrete filled. Each pile had to be cut twice; once
approximately 24 inches below the deck and then again at the
mud level, about 15 to 18 feet underwater. The Subcontractor
quoted a price of $960.00 per pile, which included both cuts.
The Subcontractor was to supply all the cutting equipment
while the General supplied the lifting equipment.
By using a
small float, the pile was cut under the deck with a 16" PCPC
in a matter of a few minutes with the General Contractor's
crew. The underwater cut took only four (4) minutes per pile.
As a
result of using the Prime® Concrete
Pile Cutter, our customers saved over $200,000.00
on this phase of the project. He has since used the 24" cutter
on other projects.
Allied
Machinery Corporation is positive that there is no other
method of cutting and exposing as economical as the use of the
Prime® Concrete Pile Cutter.
We are very please with these units, as are our customers.
Sincerely,
ALLIED MACHINERY CORPORATION
